Saturday, March 10, 2pm: FRED READS: Women’s History Month Intergenerational Reading The Bihl Haus Golden Writers and the Young Women of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) Young Poets Society and Creative Writing Class, present an intergenerational reading in celebration of Women’s History Month. Crossing generational gaps with words, ideas, musings–writers from both programs have responded in “Companion Pieces” to prompts that focus on two- or more sided questions. How do we each see? What do we each have to say? YWLA Young Poets Society and Creative Writing Class teacher Michelle Grajeda, and their 2017-18 Poet in Residence, Jim LaVilla-Havelin (who is also the instructor for the Bihl Haus Goldens), will read from their works as well. Join us for an exploration of pasts, futures and the things that bring us all together.
